Get found. Follow through. Know what’s working.

Websites that explain what you do, follow-up that doesn’t slip, and numbers you can act on. For small businesses that would rather be doing the work, with one person handling the strategy and the build.

  • Free homepage mockup
  • Scope and price in writing
  • Your accounts stay yours

Clear signal. Found, followed up, and measured.

01The difference

Same shop. Before and after.

Most small-business websites don’t have a traffic problem. They have a clarity problem: the hours are buried, the menu is a PDF, and the only way to order is a phone call.

Same shop, before and after. Drag to compare.

A fictional pizza shop: the site most small businesses have today, and the rebuild I would make. Not a client.

02Services

Three services. Start with any one.

Each one works on its own. They work better connected.

01 · Websites & local visibility

Get found.

“People can’t find us, or our site doesn’t explain why they should contact us.”

Clearer pages, a layout that works on a phone, and contact paths that actually reach you. Every website project starts with a free homepage mockup, so you see the direction before you commit to anything.

  • Mobile-first layout
  • Search foundations

02 · Lead follow-up & automation

Follow through.

“Requests come in from everywhere, and keeping up takes too much time.”

Every inquiry in one place, with reminders and drafts that keep a person in control. Nothing contacts your customers automatically unless you’ve agreed to it, and I only build what can be supported reliably.

  • Reminders & drafts
  • A person in control

03 · Analytics & growth decisions

Know what’s working.

“We spend time and money on marketing, but we don’t know what deserves more.”

A simple scorecard first: where customers come from and what to do next. Straight about what the data can and can’t show. No one can honestly guarantee rankings, and I won’t.

  • Lead-source reporting
  • Honest limits

03The math

The customers you never meet.

Most lost customers never complain. They look you up, can’t find your hours, can’t book or order easily, and move on. Tune the dials to your business.

Revenue walking away

A rough illustration, not a promise. But every business has a number here, and most owners have never calculated it. The math: weekly lookups × 52 ÷ 12 × average sale × the share who give up.

04An example

One customer, followed all the way through.

Illustrative · Not a client case study

Here’s how the three services connect for a hypothetical customer of a small remodeling business. Most clients start with one step.

Step 1 · Websites

Someone nearby searches, and finds you on the first try.

They’re on a phone, comparing three options in under a minute. Your listing is complete, your site says what you do in one sentence, and the button they need is right there.

  • Service pages written the way customers search
  • Google Business Profile reviewed and filled in
  • Every contact path tested, end to end

Step 2 · Follow-up

They ask for a quote, and it doesn’t sit unseen.

The request lands in one shared pipeline. You get a notification and a reminder. A draft reply is ready, and a person reviews it before anything is sent.

  • One place for every inquiry, whatever the source
  • Notifications and follow-up reminders
  • Drafts a person approves, never automatic sends

Step 3 · Analytics

The job’s done. Now you know where it came from.

The customer leaves a review, and the scorecard shows which source brought them in. Over a few months you see what deserves more time and money, and what doesn’t.

  • Lead sources tracked where reliable data exists
  • A simple scorecard: request to estimate to booked job
  • A regular review that ends with a short list of next steps

05About

One person. The strategy and the hands-on work.

Vitale Signal is my independent practice. I’m Dino Vitale, an analytics leader and consultant based in the Chicago area, working with clients throughout the United States.

There’s no agency behind the name and no handoff chain. When you write to hello@vitalesignal.com, I read it, and I’m the one who does the work: thinking through the strategy, building the page, setting up the pipeline, or fixing the tracking.

I also work with marketing teams that need practical measurement, reporting, workflow improvements, and implementation support.

More about me and how I work

When we work together, you can expect

  • Direct collaboration with the person doing the work
  • Plain-language communication, with no jargon to decode
  • Measurement that answers a real question
  • Systems sized to your business that your team can keep using
  • Recommendations specific enough to act on

06Working together

A clear process, whatever you start with.

You work directly with me, from the first conversation through the handover. Strategy is part of every step, not a separate phase.

  1. 01

    Understand

The business problem, how things work today, and the outcome you want. A website link or a rough idea is plenty to start.

  2. 02

    Focus

A manageable scope, the deliverables, and what success looks like. Agreed in writing, with a price, before any work starts.

  3. 03

    Build and connect

I build the agreed website, workflow, or measurement work, and we review it together.

  4. 04

    Hand over and improve

Everything lives in your accounts. You get clear instructions, and we look at the evidence to decide what comes next.

In writing, before work starts

  • Scope and deliverables
  • Price
  • Ownership and handoff

07After launch

Optional care plans, with limits you can read.

Two bounded plans for clients who want ongoing help. Everything in each plan is named in writing, and you can cancel anytime. No open-ended retainers.

Monthly

Site Care

Keeps the site updated, backed up, and working, month to month.

  • Updates, backups, and fixes
  • Small content changes
  • A regular check that forms and tracking still work

Named in writing. Cancel anytime.

Quarterly

Visibility Refresh

A quarterly tune-up of how you show up in search.

  • Google Business Profile tune-up
  • Service pages refreshed for what’s changed
  • A performance check, in plain language

Named in writing. Cancel anytime.

No one can honestly guarantee rankings, and I won’t. If what you need is deeper than these plans, I’ll tell you exactly what I’d recommend instead.

How pricing works

08FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

The things people usually ask before we start. If yours isn’t here, ask me directly.

How much does a website cost?

It depends on how many pages you need and what the site has to do. You start with a free homepage mockup, then get a written scope and price before any work begins, so there are no surprises. If the price isn’t right for you, the mockup is still free. Worst case, you keep it. Automation and analytics work is scoped and priced separately.

How pricing works.

How long does a website take?

About a week from an approved mockup to a finished site, for a typical small-business website. That’s an estimate, not a guarantee: timing depends on how quickly we settle the mockup and whether your content and logins are ready. I’ll give you a firmer timeline once I see the scope.

What is the free homepage mockup?

Before you decide anything, I mock up your homepage so you can see the direction: the messaging, layout, and feel of the rebuild. It’s free and there’s no obligation. You only move forward if the mockup convinces you it’s worth doing. Send me your link and I’ll start on yours.

Do you do ongoing SEO?

I don’t sell open-ended monthly SEO retainers. That’s the product too many small businesses have been burned by. What I do offer is two bounded plans: Site Care, which keeps the site updated, backed up, and working month to month; and a quarterly Visibility Refresh, where I tune up your Google Business Profile, refresh your service pages for what’s changed, and check performance. Everything in each plan is named in writing, you can cancel anytime, and the honesty line doesn’t move: no one can honestly guarantee rankings, and I won’t.

Can you improve my existing website instead of rebuilding it?

Sometimes a rebuild is the wrong answer, and I’ll tell you when it is. If your site is basically sound, we sharpen the messaging, fix the mobile layout, and repair the contact paths, the three things that decide whether a visitor becomes an inquiry, without starting over. Send me the link and I’ll tell you straight whether a refresh or a rebuild makes more sense.

Tell me what’s getting in the way.

You don’t need a finished brief. A few lines on what your business does, what’s getting in the way, and any timing that matters is plenty.
